1. Figure out if she or he does want a photographer to capture this moment
Actually, if you are travelling far away to this beautiful country, there is a good chance that your partner will be happy to have a memory of this event (plus, we have never seen anyone complaining about being photographed on her or his proposal!)

2. Ask yourself where are you going to propose and what kind of proposal you want
Are you imagining it as a private and intimate moment or you don’t care about having people around while you bend down on one knee? Usually couples want an intimate and private location to live that moment and Tuscany is a big region, with a wide variety of locations, from the more elegant ones to the more intimate and unknown ones. If you are more into little sea villages with a stunning colour of the water and picturesque landscapes, one of the towns of Cinque Terre is a great choice. Both areas are perfect for a marriage proposal however, finding the right spot and the best time of the day may be difficult for someone who doesn’t know where to search or haven’t been there. 3. Do you care about having beautiful photos of your proposal?
You may be a shy person who’d prefer to propose in private, only your partner and you but, do you know what does she or he wants? (see point 1). If you care about having professional photos and beautiful ever-lasting memories, this may be a good reason to choose a proposal photographer.

There are two main ways to shoot your proposal in Tuscany or Cinque Terre:

1. The pop-up style
We have to be sincere, this one is the hardest to organize. We decide together where to meet for the proposal moment and the proposal photographer will be there, waiting for you to bend on one knee and capture the moment. This one requires preparation and perfect timing, maybe you will have to wait a moment to propose to let people move away and be more alone.

2. The double surprise
This is the best option in our opinion. You may tell your partner that you have hired a couple photographer in Tuscany or Cinque Terre as a gift for your trip to Italy. This way she or he can dress and get prepared to a photo-shoot, following our advice if needed, and at the perfect spot and time, you may propose!

The duration of the shooting depends only on what photos you want to have. The shooting may be only for the moment of the proposal and shortly after (a mini-session of 30 minutes is perfect for this situation) or we may take also photos after the proposal, even on a different day, if you want to.
