Prepare to be stunned by the overwhelming beauty of this
elegant wedding. It has everything a wedding photographer may desire: a beautiful couple, a gorgeous setting and wonderful details! This couple decided to get married in
Cinque Terre, Italy in an
ancient rustic villa up in the hills of
Monterosso Al Mare, perfect for elopements and small weddings.
When I arrived at the location through an alley surrounded by
olive groves, I immediately was amazed by the beauty of the venue. After passing
a small church with ivy on the walls, some lavender bushes and a jasmine arch, you enter the garden of the villa, where the reception was going to be done later in the evening.
Andrew, the groom, got prepared in the
inner courtyard of the venue, surrounded by
brick arches and
rustic stone walls. He looked amazing in his black suit and the bowtie gave the final touch! The amazing bouquet of the bride was composed of white peonies and roses, with a touch of violet, accordingly to the wedding stationery. The bride got prepared in a room with her bridesmaids and chose a glam make-up for her big day. Now the part that everyone is waiting for, the dress! Susan had a stunning
elegant ball gown off-the-shoulders wedding dress. Her bridesmaids and her mom gave the finishing touches to her dress outside, under the olives in front of the villa then they went together to the near church.
The religious ceremony was celebrated in the
Sanctuary of Soviore, a little church on the hills of Monterosso Al Mare. After the huge cascade of white confetti, the newlyweds jumped in a wonderful Lancia Flavia, a
white convertible vintage Italian car of the ’60s, and head back to the venue.
Shooting photos with the bride and groom in Cinque Terre is always a pleasure, usually due to the wonderful setting of the sea, but this location proves that this area can be amazing also for its hills! The dirt road and the olive tree grove was a wonderful scenario for the natural pictures with the couple.
Later in the evening, the r
eception dinner was set up
on the grass with round tables and wooden chairs.
Pale pink and
brass were the main colours of the palette of the tables and, since the venue was surrounded by olive groves, the wedding favours were little bottles of extra-virgin olive oil. The wedding cake was one-layered cake with fresh berries on the top of an old wine barrel.
The couple did their first dance on the terrace of the villa and it was the perfect ending to this beautiful wedding in Monterosso Al Mare in the stunning Cinque Terre.
Now enjoy the photos of Susan & Andrew!
