Romantic wedding in the gorgeous Villa Grabau in Lucca (Tuscany)
Have you ever wondered about getting married in a beautiful location in Tuscany? Maybe you’ve have thought about an elegant villa surrounded by a stunning park and with a unique location to have your dinner with your guests. Well, Villa Grabau in Lucca fits exactly this description.
Alexis and Robert have chosen this amazing venue for their wedding in Tuscany, a great choice indeed! The bride got prepared inside the "Arancera", a beautiful orange building outside the villa, surrounded by her bridesmaids, her mother and the mother of the groom.
One of the beautiful things about this villa, is that it has A LOT of different locations, that’s why in the meantime, Robert was getting ready in another dependence of the venue, with his father and his groomsmen. I loved the ancient walls of the villa and the weather was still good, that’s why I asked the groom to get ready outside, with a lot of good natural light. The ceremony should have been taken outside, in the “Teatro Di Verzura”, a wonderful hidden garden inside the park, unfortunately, it started to rain and the ceremony was shifted inside the villa. Right after the ceremony, the sun came out and the couple could celebrate with all the guests outside with a proper confetti throw!
The park of the venue is perfect to shoot pictures with the bride and groom alone, there is a gorgeous ancient oak that dominates the garden and everywhere you look there is a beautiful spot to take wedding pictures. Since the couple chose the “Teatro Di Verzura” for their ceremony, I took them there to shoot some photos alone. This location is amazing and really enhanced the beauty of the couple.
The wedding reception was set inside the wonderful building called “Limonaia". This was originally used for storing lemon plants during winter but now is a great location for receptions. The ivy plants hanging from the ceiling give a rustic vibe to the place and the contrast with the elegant white tables and chairs was amazing. After dinner, the lovely first dance was one of the best I’ve ever witness, very romantic and the hanging string lights were the final touch to this wonderful scene!
